The concert will feature performances from Olamide, Lil Kesh, Runtown, Phyno and several others. Speaking to NET about the concert, Davido said: ‘I was actually planning to do a big concert for this Christmas but on a second thought I felt I should push the concert to the album launch in March and do something almost free but not completely free because all the proceeds from the show will go to charity. Regular tickets are just 1,000 and VIP is 3,000. So we are doing the Davido and friends tour on December 27.’ When asked why he chose to do it on the mainland and not on the Island part of Lagos which is the preferred location for such events, he said: ‘Me I be island boy na, and I haven’t really done something for my fans on the Mainland and the love there is just enormous, so that’s why we are doing it there.

How fans reportedly stalked Davido to the toilet at The Headies Awards 2014

OBO superstar Davido, saw another side to his fame, after fans followed him to the rest room at The Headies Awards, which was held last weekend at Eko Hotel and Suites.
According to a report in Saturday Beats: “Davido has a massive following. So many people seem to love him and would always want to mob him; no wonder he is always seen with not less than nine bodyguards at all times. At the Headies, there still was no private time for the Skelewu exponent as his fans followed him to the toilet.
“Saturday Beats witnessed a multitude of fans yelling his name at the toilet entrance. The young man couldn’t come out of the toilet for some minutes as the place got rowdy. It even caused a little traffic as some people got stuck in the toilet for a while.”
